KeepHealthCare.ORG – Breast Cancer Awareness Pageant, Miss Pink Ghana Launched(VIDEO)
The 5th edition of Miss Pink Ghana Beauty pageant has been launched on July 1, 2018 at Spintex in Accra.
Miss Pink is being organized by RAM Media Concepts in collaboration with the Ministry of Health (MoH).
Their aim is to create awareness of the breast cancer disease among women.
Speaking at the press launch, the Chief Executive Officer of RAM media concept, Mr Augustine Mark said the event has been running for five years now. He also touched on the reason the organization has taken such a task upon itself.
”The Miss Pink Beauty Pageant is about breast cancer awareness creation. We’ve realized that a lot of women go through health challenges but breast cancer is one of the most dangerous challenges they go through. We all know we cannot underestimate the value of the breast to women and even to we men. We’re organizing this event to create awareness and to make everybody know that it is important to take care of their breast to maintain their health. And to also ensure that they live longer not because of anything but to take care of themselves especially their breasts. The breast is very delicate and sensitive and must be catered for”. Mr Augustine said.
He lamented that most women do not know how to prevent breast cancer. He also added even when they get the disease they are oblivious of how to take care of it. Hence they will use the winners of Miss Pink pageant to propagate the needful information and educate women on the causes, symptoms and treatment of the disease.
This year’s Miss Pink Ghana beauty pageant is scheduled to take place in October at the National Theater. Meanwhile, audition will be opening on 15th of July.
