KeepHealthCare.ORG – Breast cancer survivor receives special honor from Susan G. Komen Foundation
A young woman who won her battle with breast cancer was chosen to be the Susan G. Komen Foundation’s Honorary Race Chair in the Race for the Cure.
Molly May has been passionate about finding a cure for breast cancer ever since her mother was diagnosed when Molly was eight years old. When she received the same diagnosis 11 years later, she became the youngest recipient of a double mastectomy surgery in the state of Mississippi.
As the “Face of the Race” for the Cure, Molly hopes to bring awareness to early detection of breast cancer, as well as encourage people to donate to breast cancer research.
