Cape Mental Health is a nonprofit organisation that offers a comprehensive mental health service in the Western Cape.
Cape Mental Health seeks to employ a Field Social Worker to be based in, Cape Town.

Duration: 12months contract, 40 hours per week


Respect diversity and understand the challenges facing NGOs
Ability to do research and identify prospective funders
Take full responsibility for donor liaison and contractual requirements
Ability to anticipate project needs, discern work priorities, and meet deadlines
Ability to interpret, compile budgets and financial reports
Ability to function as a member of a team, yet operate independently and responsibly
Pay attention to detail, target driven, and have time management skills
Display accountability to all stakeholders
Be professional in manner, appearance and work ethic


A relevant tertiary qualification
Minimum of five years’ successful fundraising experience and good references
Proven ability to source, nurture and manage fundraising opportunities
(examples of prior fundraising proposals/appeals will be requested)
Experience as a SETAs liaison officer in the submission of Discretionary Grant applications
Interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint)
Experience in online fundraising
Have a valid manual Code 8 driver’s license (own transport a recommendation)
Ability to work overtime occasionally in support of fundraising deadlines and special events
