That’s why I’m going to tell you how to make keto sandwiches with a crust on the outside and a soft inside for burgers, sandwiches, or just eating it yourself! What’s even better is that you can dress this bun up however you like.

You can even freeze these keto buns in bulk to save time. I recommend cutting them in half before you freeze them, so it’s easier to take them out of the freezer and toast them when you’re ready for a delicious, high-carb, bread-free sandwich!

    • To prepare the keto bread, the ingredients must be at room temperature. For the scones to rise, the eggs must have had time to come to room temperature.

A delicious low-carb sandwich with a crispy exterior and soft, crunchy interior, perfect for burgers and sandwiches.

  • 2 cups grated mozzarella cheese
  • 2 ounces cream cheese
  • 3 eggs, room temperature (1 of the eggs to wash)
  • 1 1/2 cups flour am am am am 1 1 1
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian herbs
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Place mozzarella cheese and cream cheese in a large microwaveable bowl. Melt while stirring in 20 second intervals. This takes a total of 40 seconds.

Once mixed, add 2 room temperature eggs, almond flour, baking powder, salt and Italian seasoning. Stir to combine all ingredients.

Divide into 4 pieces and form into hamburger-sized rolls on a baking sheet. By making your hands a little moist, you will prevent them from sticking while forming. Sprinkle with Italian herbs to taste.

Bake the scones for 20 minutes. Brush the buns with egg halfway through baking to give them a golden texture. When cooked, remove from oven and let cool completely before slicing.
