The study, which is being carried out by researchers at the University of California San Diego and the University of Southern California, will test the safety and effectiveness of the drug in helping to reduce the severity of migraines using a CBD-treated gel.
Scientists at the University of Mississippi Medical Center are seeking volunteers to participate in a clinical trial studying the treatment of chronic migraine headaches with marijuana, or cannabis.
The trial will enroll a total of 80 participants, half of whom will receive medical cannabis as treatment for their migraines and the other half will be treated with a placebo cannabis product. The study will last 12 weeks and will be conducted at the University of California San Diego School of Medicine and San Diego VA Medical Center.
